Polychrome Jasper Flame
Polychrome Jasper is a dense, microcrystalline variety of Chalcedony. It is a distant relative of Agate and is sometimes referred to as having an Agate-like appearance. It typically forms from the deposition of Iron Oxide on a cavity wall within a volcanic rock or ash-flow tuff. This creates small fibers that mix into the surrounding material giving Polychrome Jasper its distinctive appearance.
